Momo Chicken Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Momo Chicken ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and ordering service (together, the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, how we keep it secure, and how you can access, correct or complain about it.
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version, with its "last updated" date, will always be on this page. By using the Site you agree to the handling of your personal information as described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal information you give us, and information we collect automatically as you use the Site:
- Contact and identity details: your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
- Order and transaction details: the items you order, your order history, and the payment details needed to complete your purchase (card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).
- Anything you choose to tell us: messages, requests, and any reviews or feedback you send us.
- Technical and usage information collected automatically (your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and the pages and items you view), gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
2. Why we collect it and how we use it
We only use your personal information for the purpose we collected it for, or a related purpose you would reasonably expect, including to:
- take, confirm and fulfil your orders, and process payments;
- arrange pickup or delivery and keep you updated about your order;
- manage your account and respond to your enquiries, reviews and feedback;
- keep the Site secure and prevent fraud or misuse;
- improve our menu, Site and services; and
- where you have consented, send you offers, news and other marketing.
4. How we disclose your information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it to:
- the service providers who help us run the Site and our ordering, including Qrave, which operates this Site and the ordering platform on our behalf, our payment provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and communications providers;
- anyone you have asked us to share it with;
- government, law-enforcement or regulators where the law requires or authorises it, and where needed to protect our rights or someone’s safety; and
- a buyer or successor if we sell or restructure the business.
Some of these providers may store or process information overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. Direct marketing and your choices
Where you have opted in, we may send you offers and updates by email or SMS. You can opt out at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in an email, reply STOP to a marketing SMS, or contact us. We will still send you messages about your orders and account. We handle marketing in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as the law requires or allows. When it is no longer needed, we destroy or de-identify it.
7. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No system is ever completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping any account login details confidential.
If a data breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will let you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) know, as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Third-party sites and social media
The Site may link to, or include features from, other websites and social media (for example a map or social links). Those services are run by others, have their own privacy policies, and are not covered by this policy. Please review theirs before using them.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time. If we cannot give access or make a correction, we will explain why.
11. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information or breached the APPs, please contact us first so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
12. Contact us
You can contact Momo Chicken by phone on +61 489 237 034, or in person or by post at 93 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000, or by email at privacy@qrave.com.au.
Momo Chicken Terms
Last updated: June 2026
These terms apply to your use of our website (the "Site") and any order you place through it. The Site is operated by Momo Chicken using the Qrave platform. By using the Site or placing an order you agree to these terms.
1. Using this site
You can use the Site to view our menu and place pickup or delivery orders. You agree to give accurate details, keep any login details secure, and not misuse the Site or use it for anything unlawful.
3. Orders and payment
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy, which we accept when we confirm it. Payment is taken securely by our payment provider at the time you order. Once we confirm an order we begin preparing it.
4. Cancellations, refunds and returns
You can change or abandon your order at any time before you pay. Because we start preparing orders as soon as they are confirmed, we generally cannot cancel an order once it is confirmed.
If something is missing, wrong or not right with your order, please contact us as soon as you can. Depending on the situation we may offer a replacement item, a credit toward a future order, or a partial or full refund, processed back to your original payment method.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a repair, replacement or refund where there is a major problem with what you ordered.
5. Delivery
Where we offer delivery:
- orders are subject to availability, so if something you ordered is not available we will contact you to sort it out;
- delivery is only available within a set area around the restaurant, so enter your address at checkout to see if you are in our delivery zone;
- any delivery time we show is an estimate, not a guarantee, and a delivery fee may apply;
- you can add delivery instructions at checkout; and
- if you have any questions about a delivery, please contact us.
6. SMS messages
We may send you SMS messages about your order, such as confirmations and updates. If you opt in, we may also send you promotional SMS, and you can stop these at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.
Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and delivery depends on your mobile carrier and network. We only send marketing messages with your consent and always include a way to opt out, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
7. Allergies and dietary requirements
Our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens, so we cannot guarantee any item is completely free from traces. Please tell us about any allergy or dietary requirement before you order.
8. Intellectual property
The content on the Site, including the Momo Chicken name, logo, text and images, belongs to Momo Chicken or its licensors, and you may not copy or use it without permission.
9. Our liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms limits those rights. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our liability for any goods or services is limited to supplying them again or paying to have them supplied again.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Site.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
